Brian Gay winner in South Carolina
American Brian Gay won with an advantage of ten broad strokes the Verizon Heritage golf tournament, played in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, while the Spanish José M. Olazábal finished in sixth place.
Gay was the best route among all the competitors, 64 strokes, seven under par, and a total of 264, which allowed him to easily defeat the British Luke Donald, the second with 274 Leaderboard.

The local golfer was installed on top of the contest in the second round, and gradually increased the advantage with their pursuers, thanks to the precision that his blows had. In total, 20 managed to birdie, one eagle and only two bogeys in four days.
